The two photorealistic Boeing Dreamliner images were created in three stages by EON’s Visual Effects team.  First the atmosphere, the skies and grounds, was created. Next step was to create the airplanes and the foregrounds. They were created in 100% Cg, a high-level computer graphics language. No photos were used and everything was generated from scratch. The last step, the compositing, was done by putting all the different parts together and adjusting the lights and colors to complete the image.
